The NCVT was established with the intent to provide skills for employment. The Manpower Division, the training arm of Labour Department which was running Technical and Vocational training programs in many parts of INDIA, was converted to the newly constitute NCVT making vocational training more accessible to rural youth and depressed segments in the country.The key intention of the establishing the NCVT or RCVT was to reach the rural mass of the country which was 72% of the total population, and make them to be skilful to find employment opportunities both locally and internationally. The NCVT or RCVT's mission is to meet the Vocational training needs of INDIA providing learning opportunities trough excellent pre employment training throughout the country. NCVT or RCVT is a statutory body, governed by a Chairman and the Board of Directors representing various ministries assigned specific subjects’ areas, i.e., youth affairs, education, industrial development, finance and labour including the corporate sector.

ISO 29990 is a quality management system standard for providers of education and training services. ISO 29990 provides a unified model for a quality and professional mode of operation, as well as a common reference point for both LSPs and their clients for the conceptualization, development and delivery of the specified programmed.
International Education Excellence (IEE) is a standard which allows parents and students alike to compare the quality of schools globally. The IEE certification process takes into consideration all relevant areas of school quality, including the school’s management, quality of staff and teaching processes, among others.
